A post with a photo of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Pakistan PM Imran Khan seen together is being widely shared on Facebook with the claim that Kejriwal met Imran Khan ahead of the upcoming Delhi elections which are due on 8 February 2020. Let’s analyze the claim made in the post.

Claim: Image of Kejriwal meeting Imran Khan ahead of the upcoming Delhi elections (2020).

Fact: The photo was taken in 2016 and it shows Imran Khan meeting Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi during the former’s visit to India. So, the claim is FALSE.

From the article of ‘Firstpost’, it can be found that Delhi will vote for the 70 Assembly seats on 8 February 2020.

When the image is subjected to Google reverse image search technique, it was found in an article of ‘Prokerala’. From the article, the image was found to have been taken when Imran Khan visited Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence in New Delhi during the former’s visit to India in 2016. The same can also be read in the news report of ‘Indian Express’. 

To conclude, the image in the post showing Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Pakistan PM Imran Khan together was taken in 2016.
