The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a decisive victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, winning 202 out of 243 seats. Amid this, several videos are going viral on social media (here, here, here, here, and here) claiming to show protests against the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the BJP in Bihar, allegedly taking place after the party’s victory in the state elections. These clips are being shared as supposed evidence of public unrest following the poll outcome. Let’s verify the claims made in these posts in this article.
Claim: The videos show protests held in Bihar after the NDA’s victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections.
Fact: There are no credible reports of any large-scale protests in Bihar after the NDA’s 2025 election victory, and none of the viral videos show any such protests; the first video is from Zubeen Garg’s last rites in Assam, the second from a bullock cart race in Maharashtra, the third from the Gen-Z protests in Nepal, the fourth from a Youth Congress Mashal rally in Raipur, and the fifth from an RJD candidate’s campaign in Bihar before the results. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A Google search using relevant keywords did not yield any credible news reports of large-scale protests in Bihar after the NDA’s victory in the 2025 Assembly Elections. An incident of such significance would have received widespread media coverage, yet no major outlet has reported any mass agitation linked to the election results.

We found several social media posts featuring the same video (here, here, and here) from September 2025, which predates the Bihar Assembly election results by months. This confirms that the viral video is unrelated to Bihar. The posts allege that the visuals are from the funeral procession of the late singer Zubeen Garg. Temjen Imna Along, Nagaland’s Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, also shared the same video while paying tribute to Zubeen Garg. On 19 September 2025, singer Zubeen Garg died in a tragic incident in Singapore. His death deeply affected fans, and his last rites were held in Guwahati, Assam.
We also found a YouTube Shorts video featuring the same visuals, published on 22 September 2025, showing thousands in Guwahati bidding an emotional farewell to Zubeen Garg.
This confirms that the viral video shows the last rites of singer Zubeen Garg and does not depict any protest in Bihar against the election results. It is unrelated to Bihar or the Bihar elections.
Video 2
We found that the viral video is from a bullock cart race organised at the Hindkesari Ground in Pedgaon, Satara, Maharashtra. It does not show any protest in Bihar following the election results and is unrelated to Bihar or the Bihar elections. The audio in the viral clip has been added externally to push a false claim.
Factly had previously debunked the same video when it went viral with different false narratives — claiming that it showed a massive crowd at Prime Minister Modi’s public meeting on 25 September 2025 in Banswara, Rajasthan, and also claiming that it showed a huge gathering at Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ rally held in August 2025 in Bihar.

Factly had previously debunked a similar video from the same location. The visuals are from the arson at the house of Birgunj Mayor Rajesh Man Singh during the Gen-Z protests in Nepal in September 2025 and show the attack on his residence during those demonstrations.
Video 4
We found that the same video was uploaded on the Instagram handle of Chhattisgarh Youth Congress on 14 August 2025, which predates the Bihar Assembly election results by months. This confirms that the viral video is unrelated to Bihar. The post stated that the visuals are from the Youth Congress’s Mashal rally in Raipur in August 2025, held in protest against the BJP and alleged vote theft.
We also found that photos from this rally were posted on the Facebook page of Chhattisgarh Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav, stating that the event took place on 13 August 2025. The rally was taken to the State Election Commission office in Raipur. We also found several media reports confirming that this rally was held (here, here).

We found that the viral video has been on the internet at least since 09 November 2025, which predates the Bihar Assembly election results on 14 November 2025. This confirms that it cannot be from any protests in Bihar after the NDA’s victory. The social media posts allege that it is from an RJD candidate’s rally, as an RJD party flag can also be seen in the viral clip.
We traced the location of the video and found that it was filmed near Khangraitha High School in Nahas Rupauli, Bihar. Multiple social media posts (here, here) stated that RJD candidate Khesari Lal Yadav campaigned there on 09 November 2025. We could not independently verify whether the visit was indeed by Khesari Lal Yadav, but it is clear that the visuals are from an RJD candidate’s campaign and not from any protest at the Election Commission office.
To sum up, old, unrelated videos are being shared with false claims of protests in Bihar after the NDA victory in the 2025 Assembly Elections.
