A video showing a large gathering of people in an open ground is circulating on social media with the claim that it depicts the public participating in the ongoing ‘Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra’ led by Dhirendra Krishna Shastri from Delhi to Vrindavan (here, here, and here). This yatra commenced at the Chhatarpur Temple in Delhi on 7 November 2025. We will fact-check this claim through this article.

Claim: This video shows crowds gathering for Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra that commenced on 7 November 2025.
Fact: The video has been available on the internet since 26 May 2025 and is related to a different religious event, not the current Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra. Hence, the claim made in this post is Misleading.
To verify the claim, we performed a keyword search using the watermark visible in the viral video “Jaygurudev Yuva Sangat Lucknow.” This led us to the Instagram page of the same organisation, where we found the identical video posted on 26 May 2025, several months before the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra began on 7 November 2025.
Furthermore, upon careful observation of this video, we found that a few men in the video were wearing T-shirts with the words “जय गुरुदेव’ and युवा संगठन भारत, आश्रम मथुरा (उ. प्र.)” printed on them, clearly linking the clip to Jay Gurudev’s event.
To learn more about the Jaygurudev Yuva Sangat in Lucknow, we conducted an internet search using relevant keywords. This search led us to media reports (here, here, and here) about this organisation and a recent report published by Dainik Bhaskar on a Padyatra conducted by the Jaygurudev Yuva Sangat.
According to these reports and the description on the official YouTube channel of Jaygurudev Yuva Sangat, the Jaigurudev ashram was founded by Baba Jaigurudev Ji Maharaj, who established an ashram in Mathura. They promote vegetarianism.
Meanwhile, based on the media reports on Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s current Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra, we learned that people are participating in the Yatra in huge numbers (here, here, here, and here). However, based on the evidence that we found, the viral video has been online since May 2025 and is unrelated to the November 2025 ‘Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra’ led by Dhirendra Krishna Shastri.
To sum up, the video shared as visuals from Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s ‘Sanatan Ekta Padyatra’ is old and unrelated to the Padyatra. It was filmed during a Jay Gurudev Ashram gathering in May 2025.
