The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a decisive victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, winning 202 out of 243 seats. Amid this, a video (here, here, and here) allegedly showing a revolt against the BJP/PM Modi in the context of the 2025 Bihar Elections is circulating on social media. It is being claimed that the video, which contains two clips at the top and bottom, shows anti-Modi protestors setting a BJP office on fire. The video is being shared with hashtags such as #biharelection2025, #biharnews, #biharelections, etc. We fact-check this claim through this article.

Claim: These clips show anti-Modi protestors torching a BJP office building after the 2025 Bihar Elections.
Fact: Both the clips in the video are unrelated and predate the November 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
A Google search using relevant keywords did not yield any credible news reports of such an incident in Bihar after the NDA’s victory in the 2025 Assembly Elections. An incident of such significance would have received widespread media coverage, yet no major outlet has reported any mass agitation linked to the election results.
Then, to verify the claim, we conducted a reverse image search on the internet using keyframes from the top and bottom clips in the viral video.
Clip 1
Through a reverse image search, we found multiple social media posts (here, here, and here) from September 2025 that contained this clip, which is at the top of the viral video.
According to the descriptions of these posts, this video shows protesters in Pitorgarh, Uttarakhand, gathering and breaking through the gates of the local District Magistrate’s office. These posts are from 28 September 2025, which means this clip has been available online much before the November 2025 Bihar elections.
As per these posts, the protestors were angry at the local BJP government’s failure to file a review petition in the High Court against the acquittal (here and here) of two accused in the rape-murder of a seven-year-old girl in Uttarakhand in 2014. This case was referred to as the Little Nirbhaya/Nanhi Pari/Ladli case.
Through a quick reverse image search, we found a social media post and a Facebook post by a local media outlet about the same protest. These videos contained visuals of the same scene observed in the viral video from a different angle.
In one of these videos, one can see the board of the District Magistrate’s office in Pittorgah.
Further, we also found a few news reports (here, here, here, here, and here) from September 2025 regarding protests that occurred in Pittorgarh in response to the Supreme Court’s decision.
In Aaj Tak’s 14 September 2025 video report on the protest in Pittorgarh, we can see the gate seen in the viral video at around the 2 minute 42 second mark.
This evidence suggests that the clip at the top of the viral video has been circulating on the internet since September 2025 and has no connection to the Bihar elections.
Clip 2
Through a reverse image search, we found news reports (here, here, here, and here) from 24 September 2025 about the clip in the bottom half of the video.
As per these reports, the video clip shows the visuals of a BJP office building that was torched in Leh, Ladakh, by protestors demanding statehood for the Union Territory and inclusion of the region in the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
This makes it clear that the viral video contains two video clips unrelated to each other and is being shared as visuals of an incident where anti-Modi protestors torched a BJP office/ building after the November 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
To sum up, old and unrelated clips are falsely shared as showing protestors torching a BJP office building after the November 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
