Fact: This hoarding was put up back in 2019, as part of the general election campaign when he contested from the Worli constituency. However, hoardings were not just put up in Urdu but in multiple Indian languages like Telugu, Gujarati, etc. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
Upon reverse image search, we found multiple 2019 news reports which reported similar hoardings of Aditya Thackeray with captions in multiple languages. As per the ANI tweet, Shiva Sena has put up posters of Aditya Thackeray which say, ‘How are you Worli?’ in different languages in Worli, when he contested from this constituency in the 2019 Maharashtra assembly election. The tweet shared images of hoardings in Urdu, Telugu, Gujarati, etc.
Multiple news agencies have also reported Aditya Thackeray’s multilingual posters as part of the election campaign back in 2019. These news articles can be read here, here, and here. These articles prove that Aditya Thackeray’s hoardings were put up not only in Urdu but also in multiple other languages.
From the above information, we can infer that the old hoarding of Aditya Thackeray in one particular language is being taken out of context to allege a change in his party’s inclination from one community to other.
