Felicitation video of an e-commerce associate is portrayed as that of Hathras rape victim

A post is being shared on social media claiming it as the past felicitation video of Hathras rape victim. In the post, it is claimed that she was felicitated for being the topper in her studies. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Claim: Felicitation video of Hathras rape victim.

Fact: The video in the post shows ‘Safe Shop India’ e-commerce company associate being felicitated by her company staff. It has nothing to do with the Uttar Pradesh Hathras rape victim. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

On reverse image search, similar visuals of a group of men and women greeting a woman were found in a video posted by a YouTube user on ‘20 February 2020’. This video is uploaded on YouTube with the title ‘Mrs. Naziya Mam Diamond Lady Safe Shop India’. Similar visuals found in another video, describing the woman as Naziya Begum of ‘Safe Shop India’. On searching for further information using these keywords, a video posted in the ‘Safe Shop India’ official Facebook page was found about the success story of their Associate Naziya Begum. The same woman in the post can be seen in the video describing her success story in ‘Safe Shop India’ company.

Safe Shop India’ is an e-commerce company which sells fashion, health and Lifestyle products. Other Videos of ‘Safe Shop India’ staff greeting Naziya Begum by bowing down in front of her and offering flowers can be seen here and here.

To sum it up, the video of ‘Safe Shop India’ e-Commerce company associate is falsely portrayed as the Hathras rape victim.
