AP Police has clarified that there is no second leak at the LG Polymers premises.

Following the tragic incident of the deadly Styrene gas leak at LG Polymers’ chemical plant in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam in the morning of 07 May 2020, which claimed the lives of eleven people in addition to making hundreds ill, a post is shared on social media claiming that a second leak of gas took place at the premises of the LG polymers plant. Few media channels covering the incident live have also reported this. But Andhra Pradesh Police through their official twitter handle clarified that the reports of gas leakage for the second time at the premises LG Polymers are false. They also mentioned in their tweet that some vapour was let out by the maintenance team while repairing the system at the chemical plant. Hence the claim that gas leaked for the second time at LG Polymers premises is FALSE.
