AI-Generated Videos Shared as Sighting of Huge Snake at 2025 Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela
Several videos (here, here, and here ) have been widely shared on social media, claiming that a giant snake over 100 feet long was spotted at the 2025 Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela. Let’s verify the claim made in these posts.

Fact: These are AI-generated videos. No real sightings of such enormous snakes were reported at the 2025 Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
First, we searched the internet for credible media reports about such a sighting. We also checked whether the local authorities had issued any warnings or statements. Given the significance of the Maha Kumbh Mela, any such sighting, if it had occurred, would have been widely reported by the media. However, we couldn’t find any reports. We observed several inconsistencies in the video clips, such as distorted hands, unnatural facial features, and unrealistic movements, leading us to suspect that the videos might be AI-generated.
To verify, we analyzed the viral visuals using AI detection tools such as Hive, Wasit AI, and Sight Engine. These tools confirmed that the visuals were AI-generated and not authentic.
Additionally, a reverse image search of the viral visuals revealed that some of them were uploaded (archive) on a YouTube channel named ‘Linda’s AI Live’ on 04 January 2025. The channel explicitly mentions that the videos are Computer (AI)-generated. Based on this evidence, it is clear that the viral videos are AI-generated and not genuine.
