On 13 June 2025, Israel launched attacks on more than a dozen targets across Iran under the codename Operation Rising Lion, with the stated objective of preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Israel reportedly damaged key nuclear facilities and military installations, killing several of Iran’s top military leaders. In retaliation, Iran launched a series of ballistic missiles and drones at Israel under the name Operation True Promise 3.
Amid this escalation, several visuals are circulating on social media, purportedly from the ongoing conflict. Let’s verify the truth behind these visuals in this article.

Fact: These viral videos do not depict real scenes from the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict. Each video was flagged by AI detection tools as very likely to be AI-generated. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.

Video 5
Iranian state media reports claim that their missiles struck Mossad’s headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel. However, Israel has reportedly downplayed the incident, stating that the damage was limited to a nearby bus parking lot. Amidst this, a video (here, here, and here) is being shared as evidence of the strike and the resulting damage to the building.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to the same footage, which was uploaded on the TikTok handle @evrythingai97. The post description states that the video was generated using AI.
We then analysed the video using Cantilux, an AI content detection tool, which indicated an 89% probability that the video was AI-generated.
Video 6
The video claims to show an Israeli soldier surrounded by rubble and wounded soldiers, desperately pleading for mercy. In the video, he is heard saying, “Iran, we beg you. Please stop the attacks. Half of Israel is destroyed. We surrender to put an end to this devastation.”
Upon closely examining the viral video, a watermark reading “Veo” can be seen in the bottom right corner. This indicates that the video was created using Google’s Veo AI model (here, here, here, and here).
We then analysed the video using the Hive AI detection tool, which flagged it with an aggregate score of 99.8%, indicating a high likelihood that it was created using AI.
Video 7
This video claims to show a nighttime missile strike on a skyscraper in Tel Aviv, causing a massive explosion and the building’s collapse. It is being shared with captions suggesting that the visuals are real and show damage to buildings housing Israel’s Iron Dome batteries.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led to several uncropped versions shared on Facebook (here, here). These versions clearly show a “Veo” watermark in the bottom right corner, indicating that the video was created using Google’s Veo AI model (here, here, here, and here).
Google’s ‘Synth ID‘ tool, which identifies photos and videos generated using its AI models, also confirmed that this video was AI-generated. Additionally, we analysed the video using the Hive AI detection tool, which flagged it with an aggregate score of 98.5%, indicating a high probability that it was created using AI.
Video 8
This video claims to show a few women in torn clothes surrounded by rescue workers amidst rubble in Israel.
Upon closely examining the viral video, a watermark reading “Veo” can be seen in the bottom right corner. This indicates that the video was created using Google’s Veo AI model (here, here, here, and here).
We then analysed the video using the Hive AI detection tool, which flagged it with an aggregate score of 98.7%, indicating a high likelihood that it was created using AI.

This video (here, here) is being shared with the claim that it shows Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport damaged in an Iranian strike.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to the same footage uploaded on the TikTok handle of @3amelyonn, who identifies himself as an AI video creator. We also found that he has shared multiple similar videos depicting scenes of destruction and debris, which can be seen here, here, and here.
Suspecting the video to be AI-generated, we analysed it using the Hive AI detection tool. The tool flagged the video with an aggregate score of 80.4%, indicating a high likelihood that it was created using AI.

This video (here, here, here) is being shared with the claim that it shows the city of Tel Aviv destroyed in an Iranian strike.
In our investigation, we found that this video (archived) was also uploaded to the TikTok handle @3amelyonn, which identifies the creator as an AI video creator.
Suspecting this video to be AI-generated as well, we analysed it using the Hive AI detection tool. The tool flagged it with an aggregate score of 91.2%, indicating a strong likelihood that it was created using AI.

This video is being shared with the claim that it shows the city of Haifa burning and destroyed in an Iranian strike.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to the same footage, which was uploaded on the TikTok handle @myuz_aa1. The post description states that the video was generated using AI.
We then analysed the video using the Hive AI detection tool, which flagged it with an aggregate score of 97.2%, indicating a high likelihood that it was created using AI.

This video is being shared with the claim that it shows visuals of an Israeli airport that was damaged in an Iranian strike.
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to the same footage, flipped and compiled with other war scene clips uploaded on the TikTok handle @AlyNoor4. The post description mentions that the video was generated using AI.
We then analysed the video using the Hive AI detection tool, which flagged it with an aggregate score of 98.8%, indicating a high likelihood that it was created using AI.
To sum up, AI-generated videos are being shared as real scenes from the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict.
