A mock drill video from Faridabad is falsely being shared as visuals of a terrorist arrested at the metro station

India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire following Operation Sindoor on 10 May 2025 (herehere and here). India later accused Pakistan of violating the agreement, leading to a strong military response. The next day, Indian armed forces presented evidence of targeted airstrikes on terror camps and Pakistani military sites. Amid these tensions, a video (here, here and here) surfaced showing security personnel detaining someone at a metro station, with claims that a terrorist was arrested at Faridabad Metro Station. Let’s find out the truth behind this video.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The viral video shows a Pakistani terrorist was arrested at Faridabad Metro Station.

Fact: The video shows a CISF mock drill conducted at Faridabad Metro Station in June 2022, as confirmed by Faridabad Police. It has no connection to any recent India-Pakistan tensions. Hence the claim is FALSE.

To find the truth, we did a reverse image search on Google and found the same video uploaded on a YouTube channel called Faridabad News on 25 June 2022 — way before the recent India-Pakistan tensions. The video was titled: “Terrorist caught on Faridabad Metro Station is Wrong, It’s part of CISF Mock Drill.”

Furthermore, Faridabad Police also clarified on their official X (formerly Twitter) page on 26 June 2022, that the video was from a CISF mock drill and not related to any terrorist arrest.

To sum up, a security mock drill video from Faridabad is being falsely shared as footage of a terrorist arrest at the metro station.
